FEATURED HUBSPOT UPDATES
Create Datetime Properties
You will now be able create custom DateTime properties in HubSpot’s CRM, expanding the types of data you can store across the Smart CRM. This new field type will allow you to get more insights from your CRM about when something happened. Some use cases include:
- Manually edit Time to capture when something happened across the CRM
- Require a datetime property when deal record is created
- Copy over property values between default & custom datetime properties via a Workflow
Navigate to Object Settings > Properties > Create Property > Date and Time
Mobile Lead Management
HubSpot is bringing lead management capabilities to the HubSpot mobile app to help users prospect and qualify leads from anywhere. This first MVP version of mobile lead management will help BDRs, SDRs, and full-cycle sales reps with the basics of lead management when on-the-go, including: Lead navigation through the different defined lead stages, Lead outreach, and Lead qualification.
This new lead management solution aligns the desktop and mobile experience, enabling continuity between channels and streamlining the process to become more effective at qualifying leads.
You can access the solution by tapping Menu > Prospecting (under the new Workspaces section) from the HubSpot mobile app. There. you can navigate the full leads pipeline and switch across the different defined lead stages (eg: new, attempting, connected, etc). Pause Subscriptions
Commerce Hub Subscriptions can now be paused and resumed so customers can take a temporary break from billing and payments without having to cancel. This makes it easier for companies to handle changes to recurring billing without resulting in churn. Click the Actions dropdown of an existing Subscription to initiate a pause.
A notification will be sent to the buyer when a subscription is paused. Customers can log internal notes which will display on relevant timeline activities. When the Subscription is paused, all billing and payment collection will be paused until the subscription is resumed.
When a subscription is resumed, it can be billed immediately or at a future billing date. If the subscription is resumed immediately, a receipt or invoice will be sent to the buyer. A notification will be sent to the buyer with their new billing date when a subscription is scheduled to be resumed.
Attach Invoice PDFs to Emails
Previously, emails automatically sent from the HubSpot invoice tool would include a link to view the invoice online. Now, these emails also include an attached PDF of the invoice document.
After finalizing an invoice, or selecting "Send" from the Actions menu from an invoice preview, selecting "Send invoice" will send an email that automatically has a pdf of the invoice attached. Selecting "Write email manually" will not automatically attach a pdf.
Apply Tax on Line Items
Users will now have the ability to create, organize, and apply tax rates on individual line items across all tools such as Quotes, Deals, Payment links, Invoices, and Subscriptions.
Within the vertical navigation, go to Commerce > Products > Settings. You will get brought to the Products Settings page, where you can enter a tax rate and name; it will then show up in the tax rate library. When creating line items on a quote, deal, payment link, etc, you will see a new tax rate property which will display the tax rates you previously created. Taxes will reflect within the line item table and subtotals. For more information, visit the Knowledge Base.
